Quyon, Quebec – Le Circuit Quyon was the host venue for round 5 of the NCKC season and would mark the first time all classes would run a qualify, pre-final, final race format. Once again, the Karting Konnections team was well prepared earning four podiums plus two additional top five finishes.
Nick Martin continued to pad his point lead in Jr. Heavy winning the feature race in commanding style after a mid-race spin by the second place driver left Martin uncontested. Martin placed his Awesome powered Gold Kart on the outside of the front row for the start of the pre-final. From the start of the pre-final Martin slotted into the second position running bumper to bumper with the leader the entire race until the final corner where Martin was able to duck under the leader narrowly taken the pre-final win and the pole position for the final. In the final Martin lead flag to flag cruising to his third feature win of the season. Team mate Roxy VandenBeek on board her Major Speed sponsored, Trudel powered, Gold Kart was solid all day earning the final podium position. Click here for the full story! |
