Morristown, New York – St. Lawrence Motorsports Park (SLMP) would play host to round 4 of the National Capital Kart Club (NCKC) 2006 season and the Karting Konnections team was looking to get back on track, both literally and figuratively speaking after a less than stellar performance in round 3.

Eager to make up ground after sustaining mechanical problems in round 3, Jason Bolton on board his Awesome powered Gold Kart was the class of the field in the highly contested Honda Sr. Medium class. Starting the first qualifier from the front row, Bolton took the lead from the start and never looked back cruising to the win. Bolton would have his work cut out for him in the second qualifier, starting from the last row he (Bolton) carved his way through the field passing a high of 5 karts in a single lap and by lap 5 taking the lead. Bolton had again earned the win, but would later be penalized 1 position in a controversial call for aggressive driving. Having earned the pole for the feature, Bolton was focused and continued his dominance leading wire to wire, cruising to over a 4 second victory, his second feature win of the season showing the true strength of the Awesome powered Gold Kart package regaining the lead in the points championship.
