Ottawa, Canada – Coming off a strong team debut at the opening round of the 2006 NCKC season, the Karting Konnections team proved the opening round was no fluke taking four more podiums including two wins.

In Junior Lite, what was looking like a mediocre day for Jonathon Skorupinski turned out to be a day of firsts. In the first heat, while trying to pass for third, Skorupinski went a little too deep and could not hold on relegating him to the back of pack. Skorupinski fought hard and would manage a sixth place finish. The bad luck would continue in the second heat as a spin at the end of the straight away would take out most of the field including Skorupinski. Despite the bad luck he would climb back to fifth place placing himself fifth for the final. Finally, Skorupinski's luck would change. Running a solid third, a mishap between the two front runners gave Skorupinski the point. Although strongly pressured by his competitors, Skorupinski would not look back powering his Awesome powered CRG to victory, his first of the season and the first of his karting career.
