Quyon, Quebec – The Karting Konnections team secured their first championship at round 11 of the NCKC season hosted by Le Circuit Quyon. With one event remaining in the season the team has two more titles in sight.
Jr. Heavy driver and reigning class champion Nick Martin dominated the day placing his Awesome powered Gold Kart on the top step of the podium earning him his second consecutive class championship and giving the Karting Konnections team their first title. Team mate Matt Haufe on board his Major Speed Trudel powered Gold Kart was a solid second place when he lost his nose cone relegating him to the back of field.
Novice hot shoe Kendra Wagner (Awesome/Gold) looked comfortable taking the second podium position. Team mate, Vincent Simard (Awesome/Gold) was a solid fourth and is in control of his own destiny as he heads into the final round of the season with the lead in the points.
With a fourth place finish, Jason Bolton (Awesome/Gold) has all but wrapped up the Senior Medium championship. Nothing is written in stone, but the Karting Konnections team should capture three championships when the checker flags fly this coming weekend. Click here for the full story! |
